Walk for Life 2021

Join us in-person or virtually for our 40th Annual Walk for Life as we Celebrate Life together!

Last year was just a virtual event, so we truly look forward to seeing you all in-person this year if you feel comfortable joining us! The event will have plenty of outdoor space for social distancing.

If you wish to join virtually, you can still register and have your own fundraising page and simply join us on Facebook Live that day. You can join our Face Book group at PM Supporters Group, and you will have access to our live streams during the event.

To ensure we are keeping everyone safe, we will be inviting food trucks for you to purchase your lunch/snacks prepared and distributed according to safety regulations.

We will have fun and games for your family to enjoy as we gather around Cannon Park and Walk for Life around the lake!

You will enjoy music by Bill Harper and capture priceless memories in the Interactive Mirror Photo Booth from Beautiful Reflections.

We have been able to meet the needs of our clients during this entire time! With some accommodations, we were still able to provide women with pregnancy tests and help them as they try to decide what they want to do with this pregnancy. We have provided families with diapers, baby clothing, formula, car seats, safe sleep equipment, and more! And better yet, we have sat with and encouraged so many women as they find their way through their baby’s first few years.

Looking Forward…

One thing I learned last year was that God is in control of our ministry here at Pregnancy Matters. He blessed what should have been our 40th Anniversary Celebration with a successful virtual fundraiser bringing in over $26,500! With these funds, and the blessings we receive each month, I have been able to improve our services to the families of Southern Illinois. We were able to hire a new part-time Client Services Manager, Jazmine Lopez at our Carbondale office to help provide consistent client services and family education. We are currently working on a grant for a new ultrasound machine that will allow us to give these new mothers a better first peek at their babies!

If you would like to see how your support makes a difference, watch the video posted below where two PM mommas share their stories of how you have helped them during their difficult times.

You Make a Difference!

How Can I Stay Involved?

There are many ways to be involved with Pregnancy Matters.

You can volunteer your time at one of our offices if your schedule allows. If you have free time during the week, fill out an application and let’s talk from there! https://forms.gle/Yi6BeWykFTDfCi6PA

You can host a “Baby Bottle Fundraiser” at your church or community group. We will provide you with the bottles you need, your group will gather change and cash in them for a few weeks, and we will even pick up the bottles for you. You don’t have to empty the bottles or count change! If your group prefers more direct material support, you can always host a Diaper Drive and gather diapers, wipes, and baby hygiene items. Call us to learn more.

You can also become a financial partner by giving a tax-deductible donation. We have people who give annually, people who give monthly, and even those who give randomly. Each gift is instrumental in providing lasting change and support to so many families. You can mail a check to PO Box 4001, Carbondale, IL 62902 or Donate Online at https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=5S5YJHECRGF4Q

You can support us through your prayers. You can receive anonymous prayer requests through text or email when we have a momma facing a difficult decision or going through a hard circumstance. You can join this prayer program here: www.LifePrayerPartner.com/PregnancyMatters

I am left speechless at the generosity of our friends and supporters! Your heart for the women and families we serve shows in your actions! So again, I say thank you. Thank you for making it possible for Pregnancy Matters to provide another year of compassionate care to our community.
